Guarposid

Composition :

Each tablet GUARPOSID^®-5 contains Cisapride monohydrate equivalent with Cisapride 5 mg

 

Pharmacology :

Cisapride is a serotonin receptor antagonist that stimulates gastrointestinal motility by increasing sphinteric pressure of the lower esophagus and increasing esophageal acid clearance.

 

Indication :

Adult:

• Gastrointestinal motility disorder, especially gastroparesis.
• Reflux esophagitis

Children:

• Severe gastroesophageal reflux, if other therapies are not successful

 

Dosage :

Adult:

The initial dose is 5 mg, 3-4 times a day.

Dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 40 mg/day, within 3-4 times of administration.

 

Children:

Initial dose: 0.2 mg/kg body weight, 3-4 times daily.

Dosage may be increased to a maximum of 0.8 mg/kg/day and not exceeding 20 mg/day.

The dose for a child should not exceed 5 mg each time drinking.

 

For liver or kidney disorders: the dose is reduced to ½ times the recommended daily dose.

 

Drugs are taken 15 minutes before meals and when going to bed at night.

Every 2 weeks of use is evaluated by the Doctor.
