Composition :
Each film coated tablet GOFLEX® contains Nabumetone 500 mg
Pharmacology :
Nabumetone is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory that has no acid properties. After absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, Nabumetone will soon be metabolized in the liver into an active metabolite, 6-methoxy-2-napthylacetic acid, a prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor.
Indication :
Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and conditions requiring treatment with anti-inflammatory preparations.
Dosage:
Adult
- 2 tablet (1 gram) once taken at night
- For severe conditions, persistent symptoms and in acute circumstances, given the addition of 1-2 tablets 500 mg – 1 gram in the morning
Elderly
In elderly people, where the concentration of drugs in the blood will be higher, dosage should not exceed 1 gram/day. In most cases a dose of 500 mg (1 tablet) a day, has given good results
Children
No clinical data were obtained from the use of Nabumetone in children
GOFLEX® must be swallowed not chewed
