FUNGASOL SS 2%

 

Composition :

Each mL FUNGASOL^® SS 2% contains Ketoconazole 20 mg

 

Pharmacology :

Ketoconazole is an imidazole – dioxolan synthesis derivative having potent antimicrobial activity against dermatophite, yeast. For example, Tricophyton sp., Epidermophyton floccosum, Pityrosporum sp., Candida sp. Ketoconazole works by inhibiting the cytochrome P – 450 fungus, by disrupting the ergosterol synthesis which is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane.

 

Indication :

For the treatment of scalp infections, such as: mild seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff caused by Pityriasis ovale

 

Dosage :

• Used to wash the scalp and hair. Apply approximately 5 ml each use, leave 3 – 5 minutes before the hair is rinsed
• Use 2 times a week for 2 to 4 weeks, then 1 time every 1 or 2 weeks
