Composition :

Each gram of DEXOMET^® cream contains Desoximetasone 2.5 mg

 

Pharmacology :

Desoximetasone is a corticosteroid for topical use, with pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiexudative, antiproliferative and antipruritic effects.

 

Indications:

Reduces inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatitis.

 

Dosage and Instructions for Use:

Dosage is generally based on the following instructions and is determined by the doctor according to the individual needs of the patient:

Desoximetasone cream should be applied as thinly as possible once or twice a day, or if necessary three times a day on the affected area. Whenever possible, Desoximetasone cream should be rubbed gently into the skin. After the skin lesions improve, the frequency of use can be reduced, for example from twice a day to once a day. Use on large areas (approximately > 10% body surface) and prolonged therapy (approximately > 4 weeks) should be avoided. Both carry a risk of systemic corticosteroid effects; In addition, prolonged therapy is also associated with a greater risk of local effects.
