Alerfed Plus Expectorant Syrup
ALERFED PLUS EXPECTORANT SYRUP
Composition :
Each 5 mL measuring spoon contains:
- Triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg
- Pseudoephendrine HCl 30 mg
- Guaiphenesin 100 mg
Caution for the use of Pseudoephedrine:
- Dosage form for adults: 30 mg per dose 3 times a day
- Form a preparation for children 6-12 years: 15 mg per dose 3 times a day
Indications:
Relieve colds and cough with phlegm
Pharmacology :
– The combination of Triprolidine HCl, Pseudoephedrine HCL and Guaiphenesin works as an expectorant, anti-histamine and nasal decongestant
– The peak effect of Triprolidine HCl is approximately after 3 hours, and the next time is a decrease in effect, marked inhibition of histamine induction and redness persists after 8 hours of administration
– Pseudoephedrine gives a decongestant effect after 30 minutes for at least 4 hours
– Guaiphenisin provides an expectorant effect for 24 hours
Dosage and Instructions for Use:
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1 measuring spoon (5mL), 3 times a day
- Children aged 6-12 years: measuring spoon (2.50 mL), 3 times a day
Not recommended for children under 6 (six) years
– Dosage in the elderly:
There are no specific studies on the use of ALERFED® Plus Expectorant in the elderly. Experience has shown that the dose in the elderly is the same as the dose in normal adults, although it is recommended to monitor liver and kidney function. If there is serious damage, attention must be paid.
Storage :
Store below 300C and protected from light.
Always store bottles in cartons.
The product is stable for 2 months after the packaging is opened
Shake before drinking.
