Composition :

Each film coated tablet TERANOL®-10 contains Ketorolac tromethamine 10 mg

 

Pharmacology :

Ketorolac tromethamine is a non-narcotic analgesic and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory by exhibiting anti-inflammatory and weak antipyretic activity. Ketorolac tromethamine inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and may have peripherally analgesic activity because of unknown effects on opiate receptors.

 

Indication :

Ketorolac tromethamine tablets are indicated as short-term analgesics for moderate to severe acute pain after surgery. Total administration of ketorolac tromethamine tablet should not exceed 5 days.

 

Dosage :

Adult:

The recommended oral dose of Ketorolac tromethamine tablets is 10 mg every 4-6 hours, not exceeding 40 mg/day.

In elderly patients (age > 65 years), it is recommended that the extended interval period be 6 to 8 hours.

The recommended dosage is as follows:

Patients age ≥ 65 years:

The initial dose is taken 1 tablet (10 mg) followed by 1 tablet (10 mg) every 4-6 hours. Taking Ketorolac tromethamine tablets should not exceed 40 mg/24 hours
