Nulagyl
Composition:
Each ml of a NULAGYL® infusion solution contains Metronidazole 5 mg
Pharmacology:
Trichomonisida, anaerobisida.
Metronidazole disposition in the body in the form of oral and intravenous injection is the same, with the mean time elimination in humans is 8 hours.
Metronidazole can be detected in cerebrospinal, saliva and milk fluids in concentrations similar to those in plasma. The bactericidal metronidazole concentration is also detected in the pus from a hepatic abscess.
Indication:
– Urethritis and vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.
– Amebiasis (intestinal and hepatic amebiasis).
– Prevention of postoperative anaerobic infection.
– Giardiasis caused by Giardia lambliasis.
Dosage:
Given sevara intravenous infusion with a speed of 5 ml / min. Should be replaced immediately with oral administration.
– Treatment of bacterial infections that have been identified:
Adults and children <2 years.
In patients who can not be treated orally.
Adult: 500 mg through infusion I.V. every 8 hours.
Child: 7.5 mg / kgBB every 8 hours.
– Prevention of infection in postoperative abdomen, (especially colorectal) gynecology is repeated
every 2 hours.
Adult: 500 mg through infusion I.V. before surgery, then the oral dose of 500 mg every 8 hours
begins as soon as possible.
Child: 7.5 mg / kg BW (1.5 ml / kg BW) every 8 hours.
