Composition :

Each film coated caplet NUDEP^® contains Sertraline HCl equivalent with Sertraline 50 mg

 

Pharmacology :

• Sertraline classified to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SRRI)
• It has effect by blocking the inclusion of serotonin into the brain cells, making Sertaline effective as an antidepressant

 

Indication :

Treatment of symptoms depression in patients with or without mania history.

 

Dosage :

• The initial dose 50 mg and the usual dose therapy is 50 mg daily. Dosage can be increased again, if necessary up to 150 mg or a maximum of 200 mg daily over a period of 1 week. Patients should be given the lowest effective dose possible, dose 150 mg or more should not be given for more than 8 weeks.
• Usage in elderly patients equals the adult dose.
