- Nifuroxazide is a nitrofuran compound that has a bactericidal effect on Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeroginosa. Nifuroxazide works locally on the digestive tract.
- Nifuroxazide antimicrobial activity is greater than ordinary intestinal anti-infective drugs such as chloroiodoquin
- At dilute concentrations (1: 25,000), Nifuroxazide still has bactericidal power
Diarrhea which caused by E. coli and Staphylococcus, specific and non-specific colopathies, both for children and adults
Infant under 6 months: 1 measuring spoon, twice daily.
Infant over than 6 months and children: 1 measuring spoon, 3 times daily.
Adult: 1 – 2 measuring spoons, 3 times daily.
