FUNGASOL Cream

Composition :

Each gram cream FUNGASOL^® contains Ketoconazole 20 mg

 

Pharmacology :

• Ketoconazole has potent antimicrobial activity against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton species, Epidermophyton floccosum and Microsporum and against yeasts. Improvement of symptoms usually has been seen before signs of healing are found
• Ketoconazole does not cause irritation and has no potential allergies, sensitization or photosensitivity in use
• Ketoconazole on topical use does not give significant blood level

 

Indication :

FUNGASOL^® Creams are indicated for topical use in the treatment of dermatophyte infections of the skin such as: tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus and tinea pedis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrovites, Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum, also for the treatment of skin candididis and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor

 

Dosage :

FUNGASOL^® Cream (Ketoconazole 2%) is applied once daily to the area of infection of tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus, tinea pedis, skin candididis and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor, in most patients the symptoms will disappear and clinical cure Seen after starting treatment, but tinea cruris and corporis need to be treated for 2-4 weeks to reduce the chances of relapse

Patients with tinea versicolor usually treatment for 2 weeks, if the patient does not show clinical improvement after the treatment period, the diagnosis should be determined again.
