Composition :

Each gram FUNGARES® Cream contains Miconazole nitrate 20 mg

Pharmacology :

Miconazole Nitrate is a synthetic derivative of phenethyl imidazole which has anti-fungal properties, works to influence the fungi’s permeability by disrupting ergosterol biosynthesis resulting in disruption of the plasma membrane

Indication :

  • Skin and nail infections caused by dermatophytes, candida and other fungi such as: tinea capitis, tinea corporis, tinea manum, tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tinea barbae, tinea cruris, tinea unguium or onikomikosis, pityriasis versicolor, and nails
  • Because FUNGARES® has anti-bacterial properties especially against gram-positive bacteria, FUNGARES® can be used in mycosis and secondary infections by these bacteria

Dosage :

  • Skin infections:

Apply cream on the lesion 2 times a day. Rub the cream with your fingers so that it entirely deeps into the skin. If all lesions have disappeared (usually 2 to 5 weeks) extend treatment for 10 days to prevent relapse

  • Nail infections:

Cut the affected nails as short as possible. Apply ocne daily a little cream on the nail and rub with your fingers. Cover the nails with a tight, non-perforated plastic bandage. After the infected nails are released (after 2-3 weeks) or more the treatment should be continued so that new nail growth begins to appear and a sure healing can be seen, generally after 7 months or more
